The eco hack is finally hitting the mainstream and this is good news. The recycling paradigm needs fine tuning as this species needs to awaken to finite planet and ecosystem connectivity that the old story has tried to avoid.
"New studies indicate that the fibers in our clothes could be poisoning our waterways and food chain on a massive scale. Microfibers – tiny threads shed from fabric – have been found in abundance on shorelines where waste water is released."
AND
"Breaking a plastic bottle into millions of fibrous bits of plastic might prove to be worse than doing nothing at all."

AND EARLIER IN THE WEEK:
he Story of Stuff Project
reply to a Story of Stuff campaign..
Deborah Barnes yes i hated the stuff at the get because it felt nasty to me..I am sensitized by sewing . Anyway then learned the whole plastic recycle toxic process and the bits of nano particles that get through filters... It seems the thinking that makes the mess, the thinking that a problem is a profit opportunity is part of the now global- dis-ease.
