Amazon Trees

Taina planting trees in the Amazon, story art messaging is the best!!!!

This is art that has a definite viewpoint . Beyond the "it means what the viewer says it means," the open abstraction of the past. The veiwer brings perspective that adds to the piece (but of course!) but the artist who can be understood, rules!

That is why feedback is important. Comment on what works and what doesn't. Changing the world into a healthier organism takes work and care, compassion and each other.

thank you Tania

Sensory Assault

Poison (Dior) and Opium (St Laurent) honsty in the 80's

Perfume has a long and evocative history. It has inspired beautiful bottle designs, was at times a necessity (think cities before sanitation) and natural essences full of complex notes aroused our minds in multiple and subtle ways.

The new scent industry is on steroids and it stinks.

Olfactory nerves connect to emotions. I am fairly sure nature did this to be a benefit. However business has found a way to make it pay off in their terms.

Some casinos now use scents that have proven to keep people locked into game mode for 50+% more returns. Sensory hijacking via insidious scents - is this what we really want to be about?

Stand Up for Your Rights

Taking action against wrong mindedness is good for you, according to recent research posted to the Real Age website

Some benefits of being an activist: measuring activism and its role in psychological well-being. Malte, K., Kasser, T., Political Psychology 2009 Jul 24;30(5):755-777.

Well, this makes sense, lockdown and submission have to make the psyche revolt in some manner...probably where the term "it's eating me up inside" stems from. Even if emotionally on hold and consciously unaware, i bet that swallowing anger, pain, anxiety, love, fear or any emo variety will backfire. I suspect an escape will occur when least desired, causing all kinds of drama; so go ahead and "get up,stand up for your rights." (Bob Marley)

Now let us hope the better educated, wisdom seekers, teachers and evolved leaders among us will be standing in the majority....
