The 2010 Safe Cosmetics Act would empower the FDA to screen cosmetics for super toxins, many already banned in Europe and Japan. However the FDA is barely able to keep tabs on the food and drug industries.

Wabi Sabi Wear is an eco friendly line of wraps in an array of blended textile fibers. Soy, hemp, organic cotton, tencel and bamboo in different weaves for different hands (texture) add to the appeal.

Fibers grown without pesticides and fertilizers are considered organic. Other eco fiber attributes include how fast and water friendly they grow, the processing requirements, waste management, the dyes, animal free considerations, more.


Unlike LEEDS certification, the eco fashion industry is playing with a huge array of variables in all chains and gears of the fashion cycle.

It opens the door into the "new reality," where we can align with current knowledge and not continue to reiterate the bully syndrome power up.

But behold -we are a savvy group, getting wiser daily and acting on that wisdom We shall overcome...again! Ta-da.

This is art that has a definite viewpoint . Beyond the "it means what the viewer says it means," the open abstraction of the past. The veiwer brings perspective that adds to the piece (but of course!) but the artist who can be understood, rules!

Poison (Dior) and Opium (St Laurent) honsty in the 80's

Perfume has a long and evocative history. It has inspired beautiful bottle designs, was at times a necessity (think cities before sanitation) and natural essences full of complex notes aroused our minds in multiple and subtle ways.

The new scent industry is on steroids and it stinks.

Olfactory nerves connect to emotions. I am fairly sure nature did this to be a benefit. However business has found a way to make it pay off in their terms.

Some casinos now use scents that have proven to keep people locked into game mode for 50+% more returns. Sensory hijacking via insidious scents - is this what we really want to be about?
